...now, when i was a very young boy, only this high to a snake, i remember wandering into the woods one warm summer night, and i don't remember how, but i found myself in a clearing that was bathed with a thin, swirly sorta mist, and while i stood there, i could hear these strange sounds from the circle of trees that surrounded the clearing, sounds that i think were singing but not really, more like humming, or maybe it sounded a little like some sort of chant, or something, or whatever, so i sat down, and the next thing i knew, it was morning and i was home in my bed.
