Finally i've found a vareity of House music that i enjoy... now i feel like i somehow belong. Of course, it's not your run-of-the mill pounding beat stuff, you know. In fact, this paricular EP has a heavy hand of echo-y, Dub-style programming, but that's not what makes it so striking. It's the sound itself, which is very minimal, yet crisp and clear; i personally refer to as 'Particle Music' (...and it doesn't compress well into MPEG-2). Nice amount of novely to Pole's style, and one that doesn't wear thin over time. Saw the man himself in concert, and his gear was a beat box and a handful effects filters. Can't beat the British for efficiency. I've seen this album in a lot of places that i wouldn't normally expect, so you won't have to turn over many rocks to find one of your own.
