I am astounded at how effectively SoTL refines its sound with each album. This double-disc introduces an additional subtle range of stringed instruments which i wouldn't guess to properly identify. All i know is that i start bawling my eyes out within the first 30 seconds of Requiem. And were you to hear the un-compressed version of this snippet, i'm confident that you too would just crumple into your chair with a soft wheeze. How so much heartfelt emotion can be packed into so small a slice of plastic, i just don't know. I would not hesitate to support the dreary luxury of the Tired Sounds fund with your own non-deductible contribution.
