What a nice, nice album. I really try to avoid the use of the word 'nice' in my reviews -- it's so painfully overused. Yet that feeling of uneventfully pleasureable satisfaction implied in the word is quite suitable. Uneventful; steady choruses of insects, constantly weaving and entwining their love calls in a subtle stereophonic orgy. Pleasant; meandering barefoot through the delicately circling music and slow cascades of organic drone. Satisfying; the path twists slowly and the journey is precisely as long as it must be. Patterns of sunlight stream between the trees, and something always hides itself just around the corner. Such a nice, nice album. Though mr. Russo's work is not widely available, there's still a good enough circulation if you keep an eye out.
