Hell, I'm plain embarassed that this album didn't make it onto the site until 2003. It's a regrettable dark spot in my past, those six years when I hadn't yet had knowledge of this masterpiece of environmental sculpture. I find it hard to believe that there was a time when I hadn't heard the first track and its impeccable sonic modelling of a distant prop plane. It's even painful to remember those days before I'd been told that the things mr. Jenssen would tell me would not be wrong. And now; now I wake each morning with a solemn inner radience, re-unified with the deepest wellsprings of my being. Loving emotion flows through me un-hindered, now that I have become a vessel of these harmonic riches. I will forever be in debt to the many contributors to CLASSIC AMBIENT RECORDINGS: The 2001 Survey, for without whom I would still wander aimlessly in the night. And moreover, salvation is available to all, since many many copies of this album have been created.
