Oropendola
A very nice departure from the usual run-of-the-mill bird recording stuff. From the liner notes of this album, mr. Quin just sort of runs all around the world with a set of microphones and records environmental areas. His intent seems to be both the artistic and the scientific, which means he might just be making money and keeping a clear conscience at the same time. All of the tracks in italics are either synthetic birdsong simulations or recorded birdsongs accentuated with music. There's a good smattering of each here, and apparently he's got a couple other albums similar to this one. It makes quite the interesting audio archive for winter days.
