Mr. Gabriel is once again contracted to do ethnic soundtrack work. And once again, we're reminded of what a total corner he has on that market. This album is a little more synthetic than Passion; it feels more produced, sonically boxed in. But from that comes a depth, something a little more thick and ominous maybe, something a little more caught in the dreamtime. The percussion definitely follows his signature structures, built on mystery and spirit, and the aboriginal dustiness and throaty humms he uses refine the theatre of the piece. It's a major release on his RealWorld label, so copies are easy to find.
