Dread Western
Both EEG and Nasir have explained to me (in very few words) that one would consider this to be Old-style Dub. I think the other key word here is Roots (ie. see artist name), but I'll have to take their word on it since I'm still new to this. However, regardless of how it's termed, this is just such a butt-slappin' slinky album that I could just scream. 100% pure ingredients: low bass thrumms, goofy intelligible vocals, loops and additional processing effects, and the all the slack of a hemp bonfire. Perhaps Old-style, but with dramatic technological improvements. Their track on Crooklyn Dub was decent, but this just blows the top off everything. WordSound's outta NYC, so target this mother and bring it home!
