December
An essential album for the dreary holiday season. Grab your spouse/lover/headphones, curl up next to a nice roaring fire, and forget all of those senseless, repetitious seasonal ordeals. A snowy day and this album are almost certain to dull the overpowering scent of Christmas Commercialism. Excellent takes on traditional melodies, all solo piano. Powerful, evocative, familiar. This is classic from Windham Hill, which shouldn't be hard to find at all (between the day after Thanksgiving and Boxing Day).
