It's great to find that mr. Chalk is capable of such beauty as this. I'm very used to him in his Mirror projects, most of which have a (pleasantly) dark and sombre character. This album, however, takes his guitar work to a different plane. The tracks are suffused with a mellow depth and character, peppered with rustlings and cast in a cool blue light. I'm somewhat reminded of The Pearl, although they're horses of entirely different colors. I think it's in how this music frames a definite space and time yet without any context or purpose thereof. It's all very soothing and lucid. There were a good number of copies of this disc to be found when I grabbed mine, but I haven't seen many since.
