A copious work of depth and slovenly decay. The tracks nearly all sit upon a heavy base, stable yet pliant, tapered at both ends and smoothly convoluted between. Upon this stage walk a variety of butoh shadows, pacing back and forth in subdued anguish, leaving crisp shallow footprints for sonic archeologists of the distant future. The play is indeed the thing, for the performers have neither rhyme nor reason. An quite interesting interplay of suspicous textures. I've found that albums on the Touch label are not inaccessible, neither figuratively nor literally.
