Mr.s Deupree and Chartier chose an excellent album name; these pieces are not so much songs as algorithyms. cold fields of hesitant, incremental tempos, each track pulling itself up by its sharp and crystalline bootstraps. the sound frequency is universally high, and in several instances it's godlessly so. one of the most curious by-products i discovered is how silent the world sounds when some of these tracks stop. a tempting little bundle of experiments, often in the chittery vein of Microstoria and similar particulate artists. the back cover tells me that there were only 500 made, so they're going fast!
