A lot more beats in this album than is standard for these pages, but they're implemented in a very suitable way. The album opens and closes with a nice lounge slice, and in between varies from a slow trot to the mid-uppity range, always with a salting of Jazziness. For the most part, each song's drum kicks just attempt to cover up the fact that its primary driving rhythm is rather low-key. In addition, its underlying tones tend to make it all so sweet and mooshy. A few of the tracks are downright wistful if heard in a wistful-capable mood. The Pussyfoot label seems to cover a lot of ground in the US, but obtaining a copy might require direct ordering.
