Oscillate My Metallic Sonatas
First, here's the list of the primary instruments used on this recording: "Lead Theremin, Bass Theremin, Ambient Theremin, Other Theremin, Guitar, Violin". Now, I've seen these kids perform, and yes, that is an accurate description. Clunky boxes of different sizes, with long metal tongues -- and the guys that slowly slide and waver their hands near them. What comes out the other end is luxurious, sometimes noisy, and always polyphonic. The album does have more agression than i've sampled here, but it's one heck of a trip. I bought this album at the show, so I have no clue as to distribution... check with Wobbly Music.
