Low on Ice (The Iceland Sessions)
Having heard Aphex Twin first, I have to make a comparison between them. Mr. Empire has a very similar feel to his music, but it's more primitive and stable than mr. James' work. The songs get going after a few moments and settle into a very low, linear analog trip. The majority of tracks have deep beat (with exceptions), but I don't think the speed even gets close to double digits. Subtle, sort of forceful, a bit solemn, good for keeping your brain steady while playing video games. Really happy and functional stuff if you can find it.
