Love, tears, and pleasant melancholy, all invoked gracefully without the use of lyrics. This album is a consolidation of several Ambient-y 12"s put out by Leaf over the past couple years. 'Soundtracks' is an apt term for the tracks chosen... Most of the stuff by mr. Thomas is brief and incidental, just a light push towards a specific mood. The longer tracks by various other folk are more developed but still incidental in their own way. Clearly there could be some accompanying imagery; slow pans across expressive faces, monochromatic lighting. Leaf's a small label, but not unobtainable, so ask around should these samples move you.
