an album that balanced on the list/don't-list precipice for quite some time, until i finally had to recognize its Ambient soul. most of the tracks are somewhat agressive (it's AON, after all), but there are at least four tracks that make the grade. amidst its rhythm, Camilla has a rich and tearful soul. the overbearing Darkness is founded upon quotes reminding us of Apartheid past. then there's the sampled aria that is Opus, and this little digital palindrome that Headroom nearly destroyed. and without question, this is one of the most locatable albums i've ever reviewed for this site!
