It's very clear from this album that mr. Sakamoto has been spending a lot of time creating soundtrack music.
Very emotive and expansive pieces, many with a strong push and pull of drama.
It has all the strong Asian influences you'd expect, but presented in a rather
symphonic way.
It reminds me a little bit of the work he did for The Last Emperor, but it's clearly meant to stand on its own (rather than support external imagery).
Would have scanned the cover too, but it's made of some glitzy-ass blue foil paper.
Makes it easy to spot at the local store; should be something they'll keep in stock.
