A very earthy, groovy journey down through the Amazon Basin. Lots of liquid atmospherics, rain sticks, and curiously moody travelling percussion. What really attracted me to this album was its deep drumming sounds, somewhat reminiscent of mr. Hart's work, but with a lot more funk. That, and the resonant sonic wetness by mr. Shaikh, bless his soul. The album is definitely more suited to sunshine than rain, daytime more than night. Had this one sent to me by InterChill, but i'm sure it's waiting for you in the CD bins of some local store.
