A rather surprising outcropping from Silent Records. From the usual smattering of New York Nuveau Roots performers (and the occasional newbie) come a series of unusually linear tracks. Generally stable and Eastern all the way through, but for some reason, Dr. Israel just insists on doing a Drum'n'Bass track every opportunity he gets. Perhaps a little more dark than my samples here would indicate, maybe a little more repetetive and lengthy than the norm, but that seems to fit the Silent motif. Nice album for an introduction into the NYC Dub realm. For more information, Spectre and the lot can be found lumbering beneath the WordSound page. Silent is domestic and I've already seen the thing around in mass release.
