Auroal Chorus II: The Music of the Magnetosphere
Listening in on Mother's natural VLF frequencies -- and in stereo, no less. An organic mash of hissing, crackling, pops and static, and plenty of unintentionally cheezy SF phaser sounds. The liner notes for this album are extensive, and go into detail about the recording techniques, circumstances and location. They were all captured in various Canadian provinces, and I would suspect as far from human habitation as possible. I figure if he'd made them any farther north, they'd've cracked his ear-drums. Limited release, I'm sure, but check out this site for more details.
