I have to be honest, I am very picky about what I'll buy from mr. Sylvian's discography. He can hit, or he can miss -- but when he hits, he hits at center and with force. This work is two 30+ minute steel sculptures sandwiching a midnight passage. Both outer tracks induce what I can only express as a perceptual loss of time. In their length of suspension and patternedness, they induce a temporal mismembrance in the frame of the observer. And it's so chthonic, so organic and base in nature. A wonderful experience, and a disc that's not too hard to find.
