Clearly, things are getting darker around NYC way. Formed from pent-up tension and conspiratorial feelings, the music on this album is slow, beated and opressive, straddling that Dub/Hip-Hop border that WordSound knows so well. Both subversive and gritty, the tracks play themselves out at you rather than to you, knocking temptingly at your private floodgate of fear. I've always found that nice choice of verbal samples always lends to the mood. Diazepam's got his own copy, and EEG has borrowed mine, so yours will probably have to come directly from Crooklyn itself.
